Roster guidance and practical expectations for patrolling members during the summer season.
Patrol expectations
Following completion of Bronze Camp, the club publishes the patrol roster for Period B and Period C. Rostered patrols in these periods run on weekends and public holidays.
Members must attend rostered patrols and are encouraged to join as many non-rostered patrols as they can. Period B commences Boxing Day and runs through to Australia Day. Period C then runs from Australia Day to the last rostered patrol.
- Labour Day, Easter Monday and Last Patrol have all patrols rostered on these days.
- Allow 30 minutes either side of the stated patrol time for set up and pack up.
- For example, a 10.30 am to 4.30 pm patrol means 10.00 am set up and 5.00 pm finish.
- If you cannot attend your rostered patrol, notify your patrol captain and arrange a suitable substitute.
- A substitute must hold an equal or greater award for the role they are covering, for example Bronze with Bronze or SRC with Bronze.
- Questions about patrols, beach operations or roster errors should be sent through the contact form so the club can direct them to the right patrol volunteer.
