Bronze Medallion training at Main Beach

Bronze Medallion

Bronze Camp

A six-day December camp for members aged 15+ who want to earn the Bronze Medallion and commit to beach patrols.

Award outcome

Bronze Camp is the club's annual intensive pathway for the Bronze Medallion. It builds surf awareness, rescue skills, first aid, teamwork and the confidence needed to patrol local beaches.

The six-day December camp also includes the Surf Rescue Certificate stream for 13 and 14 year olds. Bronze candidates are expected to commit to at least one season of patrols, with about five rostered patrols per member.
