Surf Rescue Certificate
The entry-level patrolling qualification for 13 and 14 year olds, covering rescue skills, first aid and resuscitation.

The Surf Rescue Certificate is the entry-level award for becoming a patrolling surf lifesaver from age 13. It introduces rescue techniques, first aid, resuscitation and the practical teamwork expected on patrol.
Candidates are expected to commit to at least one season of beach patrols, with about five rostered patrols per member.
- Confirm the next camp's dates, fees and availability with the Chief Instructor before making plans.
- Award: Surf Rescue Certificate.
- Age: 13-14 years of age.
- Swim prerequisite: 200 metres in under 5 minutes.
- When: Monday 16 December to Saturday 21 December 2024.
- Where: SLSLE, Main Beach, Lakes Entrance.
- Time: SRC candidates attend 0800-1700.
- Cost: $250, or $170 for members.
- Applications close two weeks before camp starts.
